My Attempt At A Review

Neutrogena Shine Control Primer and Foundation Review (including John Frieda Dream Curls)

So I applied the primer, foundation, and Dream Curls spray at about 4pm before leaving for work

My hair was still damp from my shower which was when you were supposed to apply the Curl spray
The foundation didn't make my face completely matte but it was just enough matte-ness for me.

Then I ventured out into the heat expecting all my makeup to melt off (like I always do) and when I got to work I looked at the mirror in my car and my skin didn't look super shiny like it normally does - there was a teeny bit but I'm going to blame that on the weather.

So then I worked from 5-9 and I wasn't really paying attention to my makeup while there but I looked when I got home and I was a little shiny but again it might've been from the heat.
This picture was taken at 11 and I'd say the makeup definitely kept oil at a minimum.
Now I'm not sure about the Curl spray because I ended up putting my hair in a ponytail because it was hot in the store... My hair does seem a bit wavier though.

Primer:
  • pretty sure it kept my makeup from absorbing into my skin
  • not sure if it does much for oil control on it's own since I covered it right away
  • someone else reviewed it as having a "white residue/film" left on the skin after application and I definitely did not experience that
Foundation:
  • has some nice coverage and did a decent job on covering imperfections
  • again not sure if it does much for oil control on it's own since I used it in combination with the primer
  • the only thing I do not like is the packaging - it's kind of thick so it's slow to pour out of the bottle and I end up having to tap it against my hand to get the product out
Dream Curl spray:
  • I'm gonna have to try this again without putting up my hair to see if it does anything
Anyway, I hope this was somewhat helpful to anyone reading and that I don't sound like a complete idiot. Keep in mind this was my first "review" and that I have no idea what I'm doing.
Oh also - I apologize for the poor lighting and quality of the photos. They were taken with my iPhone because my camera battery died and my room has odd lighting for pictures.
